MWHWR MAKES STRONG APPEARANCE AT 2026 CIVIL SERVICE POLICY FAIR

The Ministry of Works, Housing, and Water Resources, together with its Agencies showed up strongly with full display of sector wide achievements including ongoing projects A the just ended 2026 Civil Service Policy and Tourism Fair was organized by the Office of the Head of Civil Service under the theme “The Resetting Agenda for Sustainable Development in Ghana: The Civil Service’s Responsibility”.

The Policy Fair, which took place from Monday, 10th to Thursday, 13th August 2026, at the Ohene Djan Stadium, served as a platform for Ministries and other allied Institutions to showcase their services and products to the general public as well as deepen collaboration among the Civil Service, other Public Service Institutions, and the Private Sector.

On display at the Ministry’s stands was an exhibition of completed and ongoing projects spanning the Works, Housing, and Water sub-sectors. The exhibition highlighted initiatives such as the Ministry’s coastal protection works, housing, drainage projects and water, including the ongoing Greenville District Housing Programme.

The Ministry’s exhibition booth was visited by many visitors who needed insights into the Ministry’s programmes and policies. Enquiries were particularly centered on the availability and how to access Government accommodation, the National Rental Assistance Scheme and the status of ongoing housing projects in the regions.

The Head of Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, having inspected the Ministry’s exhibition stands with the Chief Director, Mrs. Irene O. Messiba, commended the Ministry on its projects and achievements and encouraged the Ministry to continually work at effectively fulfilling its mandate.

The four-day Policy Fair concluded with a renewed call for cross-sector collaboration and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to the government’s reset agenda by delivering resilient infrastructure, affordable housing and sustainable water solutions for the citizenry.
