GHANA PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR LIBERIA’S INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT AT GANTA SUMMIT

The sector minister, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to supporting Liberia’s reconstruction and long-term development journey.

He made this known in a keynote address he delivered at the National Infrastructure Conference which took place in Ganta, Nimba County, Liberia. Hon. Minister emphasized the power of infrastructure to rebuild economies, restore public trust, and drive post-war recovery.

The National Infrastructure Conference comes on the heels of the Government of Liberia’s vision to provide a review of the country’s infrastructure spanning different dispensations that is pre-war, during the war, and postwar reconstruction.

The conference, opened by H.E. President Joseph Nyumah Boakai, is the first postwar infrastructure conference under the theme: “Rebranding and Rebuilding Liberia through Reconstruction.”

Drawing experience from Ghana, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei said infrastructure development requires public-private partnerships, blended finance, and support from development partners and is most effective when built on solid project planning, transparent procurement, and consistent policies.
