PRESIDENT. MAHAMA BREAKGROUNDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF OXYGEN CITY, VOLTA’S MEGA HOUSING PROJECT

His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama performed the groundbreaking for the construction of Oxygen City, an ultramodern housing project in Comm. 27 in Agbokofe, Ho, in the Volta Region.

This vibrant mixed-use enclave, where industrial growth meets residential comfort, is being constructed by the TDC Ghana Limited on a 1,860 acre land along the Ho-Denu Road, just seven minutes from the proposed Ho Airport.

The project boasts impressive features, including a dedicated industrial park, world-class health tourism facility, 18-hole golf course, and a commercial and business district supported by modern roads, power, water systems, and sustainable infrastructure.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, President Mahama emphasized the project’s focus on affordability, with homes priced in Ghana Cedis and cushioned by the country’s single-digit interest rates. The President highlighted the initiative’s potential to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and address Ghana’s housing deficit.

Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei also commended TDC Ghana Ltd for extending their mandate beyond the Tema Acquisition Area, in line with national development priorities and the strategic directive of His Excellency the President. “This project represents exactly the kind of forward-looking investment the Ministry ardently supports – planned, integrated and inclusive urban expansion”, he stated.

Residents and traditional leaders have welcomed the project, praising its potential to transform Ho’s urban landscape and improve living standards.
