The incoming Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources and Member of Parliament for Banda Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim (MP) has assumed office as the new sector Minister following a brief hand-over ceremony held to formally hand over Ministerial responsibilities from the former sector Minister, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei.
The ceremony represented not only a change in leadership but also a demonstration of continuity and a smooth transition of responsibilities for the development of the Works, Housing, and Water Resources sectors.
In his remarks, Hon Ahmed Ibrahim expressed his sincere appreciation to his predecessor, Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, for his service and leadership, and to the Management and staff of the Ministry for the warm welcome and the smooth transition.
Having recognised the significance of work already being undertaken across all sectors of the Ministry, the Hon Ahmed Ibrahim indicated his commitment to build on the progress made, address challenges within the sector and, most importantly, work with all stakeholders to deliver tangible outcomes for the people of Ghana.
“I am counting on the support, expertise and cooperation of Management, staff, our Agencies and all sector stakeholders as we embark on this journey together. We inherit a responsibility, but we also inherit an opportunity to build better, house better and secure a better water future for Ghana.” Hon Ahmed Ibrahim noted.
At the ceremony were Management of the Ministry including all the heads of Agencies and Departments under the Ministry.
